Silent Sunday on Frequently Feline

This may well not be a typical "Silent Sunday" on Frequently Feline. Since the video contains instructual information about how to teach your cat to "yodel", it only makes sense that this regular weekly submission has to be somewhat tailored.

No cats were harmed in the filming of this video, which was made with a great deal of humor and tongue-in-cheek.

So enjoy the rather unique lesson, and join me in a giggle or two.

Hope you enjoyed it, and do leave a comment if you are so inspired. Thanks!

No giggles from my direction I'm afraid. The cats didn't look as though they were enjoying it much, especially with their paws wrapped up the way they were. Cats are not playthings.

I didn't find that in the least bit funny. In fact my heart went out to those poor cats with stupid socks shoved on to protect those idiots with the goggles on their ignorant eyes from being rightfully scratched. The cats were obviously feeling trapped and distressed and to make pretend they were yodelling is immature and very degrading to the cats.Cats should not be used as objects to be laughed at by people with a sick sense of humour, they are living feeling creatures not puppets to be animated by idiots !

If this video was made by young male teens and not educated, well spoken adults, I don't think it would be appearing on this blog.

The only good thing I can see, is that the cats still have their claws.

It isn't fair to crank cats up for entertainment or any other reason.

It never ceases to amaze me the lengths people will go to just to be on camera. Grown people acting like they have no brains.

"At first blush, kind of silly, with what appear to be healthy, loved cats. But it's all a matter of degree, and we know that there are too many people out there who lack judgement in that department.

Wasn't that DUCT TAPE on their "socks"???? Remind you of anything...?"

YUP, I agree 100% with the other posters, especially Fran. And I know it's popular in this culture, but I don't get why people find it so "amusing" to annoy those they claim to care about. A little misplaced passive/aggressive tendency, methinks. Maybe something to think about across the board, in this society!

I'm going to have to go against the crowd here and say that I found the clip funny. I don't think those cats were near as "annoyed" as the editing would have us believe.

The sock with the duct tape had me a little worried. I think that's because of the recent ordeal with "Sticky" the cat. I'm not sure I would have been so sensitive to that if I hadn't recently learned about Sticky. I don't think those socks were on that cat for more than a minute. The main part of the clip was done without the sock prop.

So, while perhaps not in the best taste, I was not offended and I did find it somewhat amusing.

I'm thoroughly disgusted by this sort of sick humor! These guys are the type of idiots who used to think it was funny to tie two cats by their tails and toss them over a clothesline.

Okay, i'm a bit warped I guess but I did get a chuckle out of it.

Anyone who thinks overpowering cats and making fools of them is amusing, obviously doesn't know much about cats and obviously doesn't love them as those of us who respect them do !

My friend sent me this to see if I thought people were over reacting. They are not ! Everycat hit the nail on the head.If it had been 2 yobs doing this there would have been an outcry. It just goes to show appearances can be deceptive and 2 decent looking men can be as stupid as young yobs. Of course the cats were annoyed, parcelled up and squeezed and shook, that would be called animal abuse in our country.
God help anybody who laughed at their humiliation.

As an attempt at humor, I thought it was really lame. As a cat-lover, I don't like to see someone deliberately annoying their cats in order to get a reaction to videotape. These guys were more humorous and less annoying when they made their Engineer's Guide to Cats.

The cats do not seem to think it's remotely fun or pleasant... that is why I don't like it.
